Gluten-Free Easter Brunch Ideas

Easter brunch food typically includes breakfast casseroles, carrot cake, and sweet rolls (aka heaps of gluten) but these are certainly not the only options. I’ve collected my favorite Easter brunch recipes below, all of which are perfectly suitable to serve to friends and family (or yourself) if they are staying away from gluten.

Pastries and pancakes are the typical Easter brunch M.V.P., but today’s list also includes savory options, impressive appetizers, simple salads, and kid-friendly favorites. If you’re looking for ham recipes, I’ve made and loved this delicious gluten-free, ham-adjacent porchetta-style pork shoulder roast. It’s fantastic, and makes excellent leftovers.

My favorite gluten free recipe and easy appetizer is my very best hummus recipe which includes a secret technique that makes it eternally creamy:

Whether you’re hosting the big Sunday meal after the church service, or toting along a side dish, you’re sure to find a new favorite gluten-free Easter brunch recipe here.

See my general breakfast recipes page, which includes these oatmeal apple carrot muffins, for all of my published breakfast recipe options.

2. Baked Goat Cheese Dip with Roasted Grapes & Sage

Made from just a handful of ingredients, this easy baked goat cheese dip is impressive and restaurant-quality delicious. Sauté some grapes with olive oil, rosemary, and lemon, slice some goat cheese, and bake—it really is that easy.

3. Italian Porchetta-Style Pork Roast

This is an ultra-juicy recipe for porchetta roast stuffed with a generous layer of herbs, garlic, and lemon. The recipe is an easier porchetta-style pork shoulder with all the flavor of a more traditional roast but half the work and is perfect for serving those with food allergies.

8. Blood Orange Ginger Sangria from Salt & Wind

The kids have the Easter egg hunt but the adults get a treat too—a California-inspired sangria with fresh fruit, local wine, and ginger liqueur. The sangria not only can (and should) be made ahead but makes a big batch which keeps the party going without you having to keep fetching more drinks.

A top pick for gluten free Easter recipes is this totally drool-worthy sweet and salty bacon from our sister site, ¡Hola! Jalapeño. 13. Mediterranean Vegetables with Cheesy Polenta

This time of year is the beginning of all the beautiful spring vegetables. Sautéing them with garlic, wine, thyme, and sweet red onion, then serving them over a bed of creamy fontina cheese polenta and a vibrant fresh herb and feta relish on top is a beautiful brunch option.

14. Chilled Beet Borscht

This is a beautiful cold soup even the Easter bunny would love. Serve this sweet and sour soup in small bowls or cups with a sprinkling of fresh herbs (dill is my personal favorite), a little bit of sour cream, but skip the croutons the recipe calls for (or use gluten-free bread). For a special occasion you could also serve it in shot glasses with minced dill on top.

15. Blanched Broccoli with Garlic

Turn your broccoli (or green beans) into the stuff you swoon over at restaurants. Here’s how to make perfect broccoli to add to Easter brunch.

Maple syrup and miso are the sweet and salty combination you’ve been missing on your roasted vegetables.
